A Day of Football!

Thanks to Carter's awesome kindergarten teacher who gave us tickets, we had the chance to go watch the Tar Heels play this past Saturday. We had four tickets and had planned to take Hudson, not so much for his benefit, but just because I'm a glutton for punishment and wanted to be able to say he went to a game! The weather was much cooler than I was thinking it would be and coupled with the rain, we decided to leave the little guy at home with my parents and take the big boys to Chapel Hill for the day. We grabbed lunch on the way in and after much ado found a great parking spot for tailgating! It was perfect because there was a little playground that kept the boys occupied while we enjoyed our lunch and adult beverages kid-free:), with the exception of a little mediating here and there.

Jamey had seen earlier that morning something about a fly-over with this sign and sure enough, it passed over us quite a few times!
We were dressed for the occasion and thankfully so because we needed our hats and mittens once the sun went down.
Poor planner Mommy did forget the sunglasses but the Aviators saved the day for my light-sensitive child's eyes!
Yes, we were those people taking pictures during the game but we tried to be quick and not get in anyone's way! You have to have pictures:)
Go Heels! The boys were cute and into the game every now and then.

We so didn't plan our jackets but were most definitely the family in blue!
Thank goodness for toboggans! It was brutally cold and windy.

We had such a great day and were so excited to see a Carolina win! Thanks so much to Nunu and Pop for watching Hudson - I'm sure he had quite a bit more fun hanging out with them than he would've chilling in the cold with us! Cute Cooper kept saying every now and then, "I wonder what Hudson is doing...I bet he's saying where in the world are my big brothers? I sure miss him!" He also misunderstood Pop, who told Coop he'd be looking for him on TV but Cooper thought WE would be seeing Pop on the jumbotron - he kept asking, "When are we ever gonna see Pop up there Mommy?!"
