Merry Christmas

I was lucky enough to be off work for all of Christmas this year, which I though would equate to lots of rest and relaxation with the family.  While we have had lots of fun and time together, there hasn't been much resting but I guess that's just how it is right now with a house full of wild boy energy that leaves a wake of destruction all the time!

We spent Christmas Eve at home with lots of excitement and anticipation from this rowdy crew.  We decided to go to the childrens' service at church this year, which is at 3pm instead of our usual service at 4:30.  It was really nice to get home a bit earlier than usual and the service was great for the kids as they were able to be much more involved.  

Nunu and Pop came over after church and we spent the night together watching Christmas Vacation, reading Christmas books, sprinkling reindeer dust, and watching the excitement nearly bubble over from three eager boys!  The santa tracker was in full effect and we all enjoyed hearing Carter attempt to pronounce the countries and cities where Santa had already visited!  After boy bedtime, we had an awesome dinner and enjoyed some adult time before settling in to see just what Santa had in store for our house this year.

 The boys came into our room at 7:45 and off we went to check out the tree.  Nunu and Pop came over to see the action as well.  Hudson was initially shy and wouldn't come downstairs but after a little encouragement he realized downstairs was the place to be!

Santa and everyone else were very good to the Bass boys as they now have more trucks than you could ever imagine, train accessories, Lego's, a new Wii U, a 3DS, etc., etc., etc.

Hudson's santa request was a mail truck with doors that opened full of turkeys!  Quite a request from one little turkey for sure!

 Fake coal (chocolate covered candy cane pieces) are a favorite in stockings!

 Hudson needed his Indian hat to keep warm outside so he said.

Ashley and Andrew came over Christmas night and spent the night with us.  The boys were so excited to have more fun and family to look forward to!  Carter and Cooper were thrilled with their new DS games and Hudson loved his Dusty remote control airplane!  We don't really get the chance to hang out with Ashley and Andrew that often unfortunately so we had such a fun time together!  Christmas joy is definitely abundant in our happy and thankful house this year!  Merry Christmas everyone!
