One of our traditions around Christmas is to make gingerbread houses together. This year they each made their own and were so proud of their hard work! I put the icing on where they want it and they decorate with the candy. Carter's is in the middle with green, Hudson's is on the end with the custom peppermint chimney and Coop's is on the other end.
Our church Christmas pageant is also a highlight this time of year and for the second year in a row Carter had a speaking part. He was one of the three kings and did a great job with his lines. Cooper avoids a speaking role at all costs and was a shepherd while Hudson was supposed to be a lamb. Carter is the king on the left side of the picture.
To entice the little ones to come down to the front when it's their turn the "wranglers" have M & M's but even with candy, Hudson wasn't really feeling it this year! He refused to wear his hat and walked down the aisle rather than crawling as a lamb would have but that's just Hudson for you! He is definitely his own
little being with a mind of his own!

After the Christmas Pageant we went to Pullen Park along with the rest of Raleigh for the Holiday Express. Our kids really love Pullen anyway but this time of year it's extra special as Santa is there and they have lots of cool crafts for the kids. It was ridiculously crowded and I think we waited in line 1 hour and 15 minutes by the time it was all said and done to see Santa and we didn't get the chance to ride the train. Despite the waits and no train ride, all three boys were excited to have talked to Santa and to have made their reindeer dust for our yard on Christmas Eve!
