Three Months Old!

I know I'm crazy for putting a million pictures of the exact same baby in the exact same spot on here but I promise it's all for me because I have a hard time choosing which ones! The sad part is that these are only a select few of the millions I take on a daily basis!

I absolutely cannot believe my last baby is 3 months old. He has been such a joy and blessing in his short 3 months and lights up the whole house with his sweet, little smile. He really is a great baby and is happy most of the time. He spends his time eating, sleeping, watching his brothers, and playing with us. He has perfected rolling from his tummy to his back but has only gone the other direction a handful of times. He loves to "talk" to us and Carter has assured me that Hudson loves everyone in our house but he thinks he probably loves him the most! I continue to be pleasantly surprised by how well Carter and Cooper are handling the new addition but they are completely smitten with him and have truly enjoyed having him around. God knew what he was doing by blessing us with three boys!

So I had my dates mixed up and didn't realize until Ashley sent me a text that yesterday was the 25th, which was the exact day he was 3 months old. I made Jamey take a picture of him sleeping in his crib once I realized!

Sweetness

Quiet isn’t a word we use often in our house to describe the noise level but more of a word we use often to encourage little boys to attempt to be quiet. Last night after bath time I came downstairs to feed Hudson and Carter and Cooper stayed upstairs to play in the playroom. Things typically go well for a few minutes with them playing upstairs without supervision but then someone screams because the other isn’t sharing, etc., etc., etc. Last night was surprisingly and refreshingly different! They were quiet and cute and came down to ask us to please come see the treehouse they made. Sweet Jamey grabbed the camera while I was putting Hudson to bed and took a few of the proud architects! I really do live for the happy times like tonight:).

Hudson has been such a content baby since we started napping him in his crib but it's a little bittersweet to me because I think my days of holding a snuggly, sleepy baby are numbered! I'm trying to be very intentional about loving every second and truly enjoying our last baby and what a joy he is. On an addendum to my previous post, Hudson gave me a good belly laugh that same day!

Rise and Shine

Mr. Hudson has decided that his crib is a happy place to be and we are all happy with the new accommodations! He has gotten into the habit of taking 2 good naps a day in his crib and just last night slept the whole night in his crib except for a few snacks here and there. Speaking of this happy baby, I forgot to mention that he rolled over from front to back on January 9th, which was the day he was baptized. He’ll roll from his tummy to his back often but it’s usually precipitated by anger rather than curiosity! He's such a happy boy, especially now that he's getting good consistent naps in his crib away from the hustle and bustle of big brothers! He's full of smile and is so close to laughing but I haven't heard a real belly laugh just yet.

I’ve had my first shift back at work and it thankfully went well for everyone. Jamey did great with all three boys, as I knew he would, and I was so happy to come home to a house full of happy faces the next morning. As much as I love staying home and being here for every second, I think working makes me truly appreciate the time I am able to spend here even more.

He's sleeping so well in his crib that I'm having to wake him up a lot when it's time to take the boys to school or pick them up:(.

Ashley and Andrew gave the boys their Tar Heel basketball gear this year and we decided to give it a go to help the Heels hopefully beat Clemson at home. I was so happy we could help them get a W:).

I know he's a little "deer in headlights" but still cute.

Happy New Year!

We were lucky enough to spend a few days in the mountains after Christmas and ring in 2011 with two of our favorite people! My brother and his wife live on Sugar Mountain and it’s so nice to visit just after Christmas as there’s usually lots of snow and it just makes it feel like Christmas time! We sledded, shopped, celebrated an unbelievable Tar Heel victory over Tennessee in their bowl game and rang in the New Year in high style, make that Armani style for Brian anyway! We love you guys so much and appreciate you putting up with our rowdy crowd! XOXO

Right before we left we let Hudson check out his little seat and he loved it, especially with a big brother right there to encourage him!
Mom, I think I'm done now!

What do you mean we can't open these presents we've already ripped into yet?!

Despicable Me causes blank stares on my children!
Carter and Cooper got Nickelodeon Fit for Wii and love it!

Go Tar Heels!
New Year's Eve
I could eat him up.

Sarah and I are so lucky to have such well-dressed spouses for the evening:)
1st time Willie paid me any attention the whole time!
