This past weekend my parents celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary! Brian and Sarah came into town for the weekend and we all had a great time hanging out together. Friday was their actual anniversary and also Carolina's game to hopefully advance to the Elite 8, so we weren't quite sure how much celebrating we would be able to do! My family lives and dies with Carolina so a win equals a happy, fun night whereas a loss equals lots of grumpy people ready for bed.
Thankfully the Tar Heels won and we were able to celebrate, maybe a little more than we should have but it was certainly memorable!
Carter was so sweet during the game and helped us negative folks become more positive about the lackluster performance we were watching. He and Coop had been upstairs watching a movie and came down at just the right time to give us, and the Heels a boost.

Saturday night we all had dinner at my parents' house and once again had a great time hanging out together. Hudson thinks George is his personal means of transportation as you can see but thankfully George doesn't seem to mind.

Hudson had his first gator ride the other day and thankfully lived to tell the tale with wild Cooper behind the wheel!
On a side note, Friday night I made one of my favorite "having people over but casual" meals that's too good not to share. Jamey doesn't love it because he doesn't really like rice but it's usually a hit with everyone and makes a huge amount.
