Christmas Festivities

We've stayed busy thus far getting into the holiday spirit by doing lots of fun things! We've made gingerbread cookies, gingerbread houses, had Christmas programs at school, and even a Christmas program at church where the boys were shepherds. Cooper is finished with school until January but Carter still has three more days next week with lots of cool things planned...they get to make gingerbread houses Monday, have a holiday party with families on Tuesday, and then Wednesday they have bounce houses and a party in the gym for kids who have been well-behaved! After all that fun, he wears his PJ's to school Wednesday as well and gets to end the day with cookies and hot chocolate watching The Polar Express. If only we could be in Kindergarten again!

I'm a little partial but I think it's safe to say we had two of the cutest shepherds around. They were both very sweet and did just what they were supposed to, making their mommy very proud! I had the pleasure of "wrangling" the shepherds along with a few other ladies and some of them definitely needed some wrangling! Nunu and Pop and Ashley and Andrew came to watch their big performance last Sunday and the boys were so proud to have such an audience!

Before the shepherds and angels have to go into the church, they watch Christmas specials in the choir room and they were all so cute. Everyone was definitely zoned in to Frosty, which made my job much easier!


Hudson was baby Jesus last year but this year was happily an audience member, busted lip and all:). If he wants to he'll be a sheep or cow next year so we'll see!

Cooper had his first school Christmas program yesterday and couldn't have been any cuter. He was all dressed up in his Sunday best and was so proud to be singing in front of everyone. He smiled the whole time and did so well. I was so shocked because I thought he'd get stage fright and be shy with such a crowd but he surprised me! We brought the video camera and regular camera but I accidentally left the battery at home so no pictures were taken but I can assure you he was beyond precious and I definitely won't make the battery mistake again!
