Fall Photo Shoot

We are lucky enough to have a neighborhood that has lots of outdoor trails for running that I try to take advantage of as often as possible. One that I've recently started running is a loop around a lake and I noticed the other day the leaves were unbelievably pretty so my goal for the past few days has been to get the boys, their wagon, and their pumpkins, and hope for some good pictures! I'm definitely no pro but I was happy with my hard work!

It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

My mom got Cooper this precious outfit and I've been trying desperately to get a good picture of him in it - this is unfortunately all I've gotten so far but I'm gonna keep trying! The leaves are all of a sudden unbelievable around here and I'd love to get some outdoor pics of them but it's been raining every other day and I don't want dirty, wet children for my pictures!

Apparently watching the Charlie Brown Halloween episode mesmerizes 2 and 4 year olds, at least in our house!

Amazing Acres Farm

Today Carter's class took a field trip to an animal farm in Holly Springs and Cooper and I were able to tag along for it. The class had lots of fun and the kids were so thrilled to be able to actually touch all the animals. Cooper ran around like a wild man and was pretty indifferent about the animals but Carter loved them all! I don't think I got a picture of it but there was a tiny, little white house with a cross on top inside the goat fence and Carter told his whole class and the workers that was where the animals went to church! It was pretty cute:)

Feeding a chicken
Petting a bunny

They can be so sweet together sometimes!
Petting the sheep while Cooper said, "baa, baa" like a broken record in my ear!
I love how he has his hand in his pocket.
Hello duck!
Cute little goat
Brushing the miniature donkey
Time to pose - Cooper wouldn't cooperate.
Carter's class and a little bit of the "church" in the background

Zoo!

Jamey and I took the boys to the zoo this past weekend for a fun-filled "family day" as we jokingly like to call days like this! It was fun but we were all pretty beat by the time we were back home! We stopped to have what we thought would be a quick lunch in Siler City at Johnson's, a restaurant we'd heard awesome things about from friends but speed is definitely not their priority. It took us an hour and 20 minutes to stop for lunch but it was one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had so definitely worth the wait if you're ever around there!

Carter's favorite parts of the zoo so he says were the giraffes and the indoor part with snakes and bats, definitely not on top of my list! Cooper loved the sea lions - I don't know what was more entertaining for other zoo visitors, the sea lions or Cooper when they were about to swim by! He was so excited and would jump around and squeal every time they came by and as soon as they were gone he'd say, "More, More..." until they'd come again! It was pretty cute I must say.

The first exhibit you get to at our zoo is the giraffes, ostriches, and zebras so that was perfect for us as that was on top of Carter's "too see" list.

Carter loved checking out this helicopter while Cooper clung to me for dear life.

This was supposed to be a picture with the elephant but my camera man was a little off and their were people standing right next to us who wouldn't move!

Can you tell they're excited?! I think this was at the grizzly bear.

They decided to be buddies and walk together - who are these kids again?!

I love this one!

The playground was a big hit and they were less than happy when we told them we had to keep going and stop playing!
