Yes, we have bitten the bullet and are expanding our family by yet another boy, but this time of the canine variety. After being dogless for over 2 years, we've been itching to enter back into the dog world! We have occasionally checked out the pet classifieds but haven't really seen anything we were looking for until MLK day. We were all off and had an entire day to spend together as a family with nothing to do, which is oh so very rare and precious! I just happened to look at the classifieds that morning and noticed a litter of golden retrievers in Rocky Mount. Jamey called the listing and a few minutes later off we went on our road trip to check out some puppies. I don't think we were fooling ourselves but we kept telling each other, we're just looking, we don't have to get one...even though Jamey was smart enough to bring a blank check...but just in case:). They were as you would expect perfect and precious and we picked a sweet boy and are naming him Harry. The boys loved holding them and checking them out and can't wait until we get to bring our Harry home!
Cooper pointing to which one he wanted.
They also had a goat that likes to get on top of their cars! Thankfully we parked in the front!
Harry and his brother...ours is in Jamey's left hand.
Hudson needs a little lesson in being gentle with puppies but hopefully he'll get there!
The Mama.
Jamey and I took Cooper and Hudson today to check on our puppy for a few minutes and we all we amazed at how much bigger he's gotten. He's 4 weeks old now and we will pick him up on President's Day, when he'll be just over 6 weeks.
Cooper couldn't get enough of Harry today and kept telling us how much Harry liked him!
Initially he was gentle...
...until he started to choke the poor thing!
He's the one by Coop's arm. And so the countdown begins...
