Volcano Fun

Carter's preschool class talks about a letter each week and last week's letter was V. They ended the week with a volcano one of the teachers brought in and apparently Carter was quite excited about watching it erupt! He has had a $20 bill in his piggy bank that has been burning a hole in it ever since we talked him into putting it inside so he thought a volcano would be the perfect way to spend it. His teacher even stopped me to tell me just how much he loved the volcano and that he'd already told her he wanted to buy one with his money because she told him it only costs $15!

We headed out to Science Safari and let him pick out which one he wanted...fortunately he chose the least complex and least expensive one but it was still a pain for me but lots of fun for him! The adult assembly part was tedious but Carter loved putting on the strips of plaster and painting it. I honestly thought it was be a piece of junk and hard for him to do but he did great and was very impressed with his finished product!

They could hardly wait for Hudson to take his nap so we could all go outside to witness the eruption!
Cooper was obviously not too sure about it initially and was worried it was going to be loud. My sweet boy must have some sensitive ears!
Skepticism quickly turned to excitement!

As you can see project volcano was an overwhelming success!
